I wish I had known what I was searching to find by reading articles and trying to prepare would only come when I gained experience.
I had no idea what I was doing. My intuition didn’t kick in strongly like it does for some mothers. I spent all my free time googling articles on the what’s and how’s of being a mom.
It was overwhelming. Beyond overwhelming.
I’m only 5 years and 4 kids in, but I wish I had understood that the best way to learn was experience. I wish I had known that experience would shape my confidence. Experience would teach me and make everything manageable.
If I could go back and give myself something it would be the assurance that the experience will come and with it confidence to find our way.
I also wish I could give experience & the confidence that comes with it as a baby shower gift — it’s been the most helpful, by far. ❤️
