We have our handprints scattered in the cement around the farm next to the year that was scratched in while it was still wet.

We have boxes full of pictures, computers filled with pictures, and camera rolls with even more photos.

What we don’t have is the thoughts behind the decisions. The circumstances that ushered in change or the intention behind how we got to this point.

Our stories will help tell the story of the legacy we live.

It’s been our family tradition to gather around the table once a year to anticipate the year ahead with the game Hokey Pokey and take a few minutes to write quick notes about the year we recently completed. For us, these notes have lived in a stenographer notebook, but now we have one book to keep it all. One book to look back on what we’ve endured, one book to pass on to the next generation, and one book that summarizes our unique story.
